Integers are a set of whole numbers and their opposites on the number line. Numbers that have a value greater than zero are positive integers. Numbers that are less than zero are negative integers. The number zero is neither positive nor negative and it does not have a sign.

Absolute Value is a term that references a numbers distance from zero. Distance is always a positive measurement, therefore absolute value is always positive.
